Thank you for attending SDS2023. Please read carefully the following instructions and guidelines for paper
submissions and oral presentations.
1. Preparations - Paper Abstract
All the speakers are requested to write a comprehensive abstract of their research work. Please submit your
abstract by email to judy.du@eventcommitte.com for review to be
included in the conference. Selected abstracts will be listed on the conference website after they are
accepted.
We kindly request that you keep in mind the deadline for paper submissions: April 5, 2023
2. Multimedia Presentation
All the speakers are suggested to make a presentation in English language. The deadline to
include your presentation in the Conference Proceedings is April 5, 2023.
Therefore, make sure your papers must reach our office on or before this date. Papers
received after this date will not be included in the printed conference proceedings. Also,
please submit your paper in MS Word format through email to judy.du@eventcommitte.com.
3. Format of Written Paper = A4
Follow the below given format for paper writing and the paper should contain the following:
Font: Times New Roman, Exactly 15pt, 8, plain, bold
Headings: (Please refer to the enclosed Example Document)
● Name, occupation, employer of speaker
● Abstract
● Personal resume of the speaker under the heading ‘Biography’
The paper will be printed as is received without any formatting adjustment. Thus ensure all materials are of
a legible print quality. The paper should not exceed 400 words.
Important Note: Copies of overheads or PowerPoint slides are NOT ACCEPTABLE as your written paper.
4. Oral Presentation
Multimedia Presentation
For the oral presentation, you should bring a MS PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) file in a USB flash drive (memory
stick). Use of your own laptop is not recommended. The organizers will copy these files onto the general
laptop for beamer projection. Sometimes, the files are inaccessible from the flash drives so it is suggested
to have a copy of presentation in email or cloud drive.
All oral presenters are required to submit an electronic version of their presentation either by 7:00pm of the
day prior to their presentation at the registration desk, or in the meeting room of their presentation 30
minutes prior to the beginning of the session. All presentations will be scanned for viruses and subsequently
loaded on the main projector computer. Any changes to a file prior to its presentation must be made through
the Registration Desk.
● Videos: If the multimedia presentations contain videos, make sure that they are well formatted and connected
to the main files.
● Timing: Ensure the presentation is well timed. Every speaker has a maximum of 25 minutes in total, including
topic presentation and discussion. Please keep in mind that the program is full and that the speaker after you
would like their allocated time available to them.
