BIT’s 4^th Annual World Congress of Smart Materials-2018

BIT’s 4^th Annual World Congress of Smart Materials-2018 (WCSM-2018), successfully held in Hyatt Regency Osaka on March 6-8, 2018. Totally, there were nearly 400 participants from more than 24 countries and areas have attended the WCSM-2018.

On behalf of the committee of WCSM-2018, Mr. Jose Favilla (World Wide Executive Director & Partner of IBM Industry Academy of USA) had hosted the Opening Ceremony & Keynote Forum. Many world-class honored guests presented at this congress and gave their brilliant invited speeches, among them are Dr. Shuji Nakamura, (2014 Nobel Prize for Physics) Professor of University of California Santa Barbara of USA; Dr. Florin Udrea, Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering; Head of High Voltage Microelectronics and SensorsLab, Cambridge University of UK; Dr. Masahiro Yoshimura, Former President of the World Academy of Ceramics (WAC); Dr. Mo Elbestawi of Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering; Dr. Jean-François Gerard, President of European Polymer Federation of France; Dr. WaguihIshak, Division Vice President & Chief Technologist, Corning Research & Development Corporation of USA. Beside the Keynote Forum, 42 parallel speech sessions have been held successfully, which themes cover the nanomaterials, biomaterials, optical and electronic materials, composite materials, as well as the cutting-edge application of smart materials. Meanwhile, many participants are also showing their new founding by posters and exhibitions, and exchanged the new business opportunity with each other.

During the conference date, many participants expressed their satisfaction with the content of the congress and had fine memories of Osaka.
