On the 25th, the 2nd World MICE Day was reopened at the Qingdao International Convention Center, which is the main venue of the Shanghai Summit. More than 600 MICE industry professionals from more than 50 contries gathered here to celebrate their own festivals. The conference was hosted by Qingdao Trade Promotion Association and hosted by BIT Congress.  Dr. Mei Xiaodan, Chairman of the BIT Congress, introduced the conference and hosted the opening ceremony on behalf of the organizers and co-organizers. The Deputy Secretary-General of the Qingdao Municipal Government attended the meeting and delivered an opening speech. The former President of the Qingdao Conference, MPI Chairman of Belgium, spoke as a guest representative. Tang Xuyan, vice president of Qingdao Trade Promotion Association, introduced the local conference, exhibition resources and industrial policies of Qingdao.

The theme of this year's conference is "Committed to Boosting World Meeting Industry.” The entire meeting lasts for 3 days. From the global exhibition industry elites, relevant international organizations, association representatives, domestic and foreign exhibitions and tourism bureau officials, well-known media people in the exhibition industry, famous professional conference organizers (PCO), representatives of conference hotel venues, and DMC, travel agencies, domestic Foreign media representatives started a dialogue around this theme to explore how the conference and exhibition industry will promote economic development in urban areas and contribute to world peace and cultural exchanges in the new era.
In order to promote exchanges and cooperation between Qingdao and the international community, and enhance the competitiveness and influence of Qingdao as the destination city of the conference, after the conference organizing committee carefully reviewed and recommended, 6 people were hired as "Qingdao City Conference Ambassadors". At the opening ceremony of the conference, the deputy secretary-general of Wan Jianzhong and the leaders of Qingdao CCPIT issued the letter of appointments for the new ambassadors. We hope that the ambassadors will actively promote the Qingdao Convention and Exhibition resources, attract more international conferences and exhibitions to settle in Qingdao, and push the Qingdao conference and exhibition industry to a new high.
