On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I cordially welcome you to join the satellite event, BIT’s 1^st Annual World Congress of Synthetic Biology 2019 at 10^th Annual World DNA and Genome Day 2019, which will be held during April 25-27, 2019, Nanjing International Youth Convention Hotel, China.

 

Firstly, in the past decade, Synthetic biology has seen an explosive growth in the capability of engineering artificial biosystems and rebuilding existing living systems, which has turned into one of the hottest emerging disciplines generating huge impact on both basic bioscience and applied biotechnology. So, Synthetic Biology has attracted many interdisciplinary groups consisting of biologists, chemists, computer engineers, mathematicians and physicists, to try very hard in engineering biological systems to understand life processes, from the level of the single molecule to the human organs from using unnatural molecules to expand the chemistry and function of life as well as re-assemble natural components into artificial systems with programmable behaviors.

 

Secondly, with increasing daily innovations and inventions in genomic and biomolecular technologies applying to sophisticated programming of microbial, eukaryotic species and Microbiome and even mammalian Systems. We think it’s right time to initiate this new symposium at World DNA and Genome Day 2019 so as accelerate across-cultural collaborations in China and Beyond. We believe this new event will offer you the most update info on the latest scientific breakthroughs, enabling technologies, and advances in an array of applications in the diversified fields. At this event, the world-class scientists will present their astonishing achievements in engineering of unnatural species and microbial communities, from designing creative living systems at the gene, network and whole-genome level. You will also have opportunities to network with industrial leaders to learn current advances in applications of synthetic biology to biotherapy, diagnostics, environment, medicine, and chemical industry.
