Past Events Report
The Annual International Congress of Ocean (WCO), initiated from 2012, had been successfully organized in Dalian (2012 & 2014), Hangzhou (2013), Qingdao (2015, 2016), Shenzhen (2017), and Weihai (2018), attracted more than 2,000 participants from 60 countries. WCO series congresses contribute to offering professionals in the field of ocean a multidisciplinary informative cooperative platform, and it has been the most definite and grand Ocean event in Asia. With the strong participation from diversified areas, we are proud to say WCO has turned into an important international convention in ocean related fields. We are confident in organizing WCO-2019, which would be better and more successful than previous conferences.

Introduction to Xiamen
Xiamen is a coastal city in Fujian Province in China. It has been an important port for centuries and became one of China's earliest Special Economic Zones in the 1980s. The name Xiamen means "door to the house", referring to the city's centuries-old role as a gateway to China.
It is not Taipei or Hong Kong, but compared to most other cities in the region, Xiamen is definitely a very vibrant, affluent and modern place. It got an international award in a contest for most livable cities in 2002; The city is known for its mild climate, Hokkien culture and Gulangyu Island, as well as its relatively low pollution. In 2006, Xiamen was ranked as China's 2nd-"most suitable city for living", as well as China's "most romantic leisure city" in 2011.
The most important tourist area is Gulangyu Island, a small island which contains some beautiful colonial buildings and is car free.
