Block 3: Nano-Fabrication, Characterization and Nanoengineering

This block allows us to discuss more details on the following fields: The nano-scale precision processing and surface processing, which also can be thought as the removal, movement, and recombinant of atoms and molecules, are one of the main parts of nanotechnology. Nano-processing technology takes on an important mission of supporting the latest scientific and technological progress. For example, like precision gyroscopes in the inertial instruments of modern weapons, laser fusion reflectors, reflectors and multi-faceted prisms in large celestial telescopes, silicon slices in large scale integrated circuits, computer disks and magnetic drums in duplicators, all of these need to be processed at nano-scale. The development of nano-processing technology also improves the development of mechanization, self-assembly, super- and nano-molecular system and materials, as well as the measuring techniques and material science.
