About the Congress

We are honored to announce that BIT's 4th Annual World Congress of High-Tech Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine 2017 (HTA&IM-2017) and BIT's 2nd Annual World Congress of Modern Chinese Medicine-2017(MCM-2017) will be held during September 25-27, 2017 in Xi'an, China. The congress aims to be the most comprehensive Acupuncture and Modern Chinese Medicine congress where discoveries meet opportunities. By the successful running of last year's congress, it has attracted more than 200 participants from 20 countries. A prospection of 500+ delegates, 100+ presentations will make it to be the unique platform for Academic & Industrial information exchange & network expansion.

Bring together thought leaders from pharmaceutical, herb, regulatory authorities and academics, expert scientists to present the latest research results, ideas, developments, applications and business prospects.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) especially acupuncture has high reputation as complementary healing method to Western Medicine. There are many varieties of acupuncture. The process of modernization using high-tech methods for acupuncture must be continued since acceptance with regard to TCM in the Western world significantly depends on quality assurance and standardisation. All presentations on this topic are most welcome.

The part integrative and complementary medicine covers all evidence-based scientific studies on integrative and complementary approaches including laser technologies to improving health and quality of life.

Without basic research there is no adequate clinical research. Contributions from animal experimental investigations as well as basic research in humans are welcome.

The spectrum of different methods in needle acupuncture is very high. Presentations from all kind of acupuncture (body acupuncture, ear acupuncture, hand acupuncture etc.) are welcome.

Theoretical as well as practical aspects of electro acupuncture (EA) using sophisticated electro acupuncture machines will be presented within this topic.

Introduction to Xi'an
Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi province, and a sub-provincial city in the People's Republic of China. One of the oldest cities in China, with more than 3,100 years of history, the city was known as Chang'an before the Ming Dynasty. Xi'an is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history, including Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang. Xi'an is the eastern terminus of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
Since the 1990s, as part of the economic revival of interior China especially for the central and northwest regions, the city of Xi'an has re-emerged as an important cultural, industrial and educational centre of the central-northwest region, with facilities for research and development, national security and China's space exploration program. It is now one of the most populous built-up areas in inland China.
