Silk Road Economic Belt
The Silk Road changed the world forever. Trade, Culture and ideas were passed along this route since around 200BC. The Silk Road Economic Belt will bring together Asia and Europe with closer trade and cultural ties.
On Sept. 7, 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a speech at Kazakhstan's Nazarbayev University and proposed to join hands building a Silk Road economic belt with innovative cooperation mode and to make it a grand cause benefiting people in regional countries along the route. The proposed economic belt is inhabited by "close to 3 billion people and represents the biggest market in the world with unparalleled potential", Xi said.
