Dr. Andreas Nordseth began the work as Director General in the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) in January 2009. Andreas Nordseth is a 1982 graduate of the Copenhagen Nautical College. After awarding his Shipmaster's Diploma, Andreas Nordseth went to sea. Subsequently, Andreas Nordseth studied at Danish Technical University. After having graduated, Andreas Nordseth continued teaching at Copenhagen Nautical College as a Maritime Lecturer, before joining the Danish Maritime authority in 1991 as a consultant on maritime education and training. In 1997 he became chief examiner for masters and mates and two years later, in 1999, he became head of division for maritime education and training. He continued his work with the maritime educations, when he took up the position as Deputy Director General in 2003.
His areas of responsibility-besides the maritime educations-included operational issues related to safety of navigation and the like as well as internal functions such as HR and internal service. He is Chairman of Consultative Shipping Group; a position he has held since 2009. Andreas Nordseth is Governor at the World Maritime University and board member of the Maritime Development Centre of Europe (MDCE), the Danish Maritime Fund, the European Maritime Safety Agency, and the Association for Promoting of Danish Shipping and the Advisory Board for Executive MBA in Shipping & Logistics at Copenhagen Business School.


Prof. Dan M. Frangopol is the inaugural holder of the Fazlur R. Khan Endowed Chair of Structural Engineering and Architecture at Lehigh University. His main research interests are in the application of probabilistic concepts and methods to civil and marine engineering, including structural reliability, probability-based design and optimization of buildings, bridges and naval ships, structural health monitoring, life-cycle performance maintenance and management of structures and infrastructures under uncertainty, risk-based assessment and decision making, infrastructure sustainability and resilience to disasters, climate change effects, and stochastic mechanics. His research, teaching and service have garnered numerous awards from ASCE, IASSAR, IABSE, SAE and other professional organizations. Prof. Frangopol is the Founding President of the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS) and of the International Association for Life Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE). He is the Vice-President of the International Association for Structural Safety and Reliability (IASSAR), and Past Vice-President of the Engineering Mechanics Institute of ASCE and Past Member of its Board of Governors. He is also the Founding Chair of the ASCE-SEI Technical Council on life-cycle performance, safety, reliability and risk of structural systems and of the IASSAR Technical Committee on life-cycle performance, cost and optimization. He has held numerous leadership positions in national and international professional societies including Chair of the Technical Activities Division of the 20,000+ members of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of the ASCE, Chair of Executive Board of IASSAR, Vice-President of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII), and Chair of IABSE Working Commission 1 on Structural Performance, Safety and Analysis. A Distinguished Member of ASCE, a Foreign Member of the Academia Europaea (Academy of Europe, London), a Foreign Member of the Royal Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts, and an Honorary Member of the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania, Prof. Frangopol holds 4 honorary doctorates and 12 honorary professorships. He is also the Honorary President of the IABMAS-Italy and IABMAS-Brazil Groups, and an Honorary Member of the IABMAS-Australia Group, IABMAS-China Group, IABMAS-Japan Group, and of the Portuguese Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety. Prof. Frangopol is the Founding Editor of Structure and Infrastructure Engineering an international peer-reviewed journal launched in 2005 and accepted in 2007 by Thomson ISI for inclusion in the Science Citation Index. He is also the Founding Editor of the Book Series Structures and Infrastructures. Prof. Frangopol is the author or co-author of 2 books, 40 book chapters, 350 articles in archival journals (including 9 prize winning papers from ASCE, IABSE, and Elsevier), and more than 600 papers in conference proceedings. He has edited or co-edited 40 books. With an h-index of 62 and more than 15,900 citations (Google Scholar, 2017) his work has left an indelible mark on the field of structural engineering.


Now on contract to the US Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology (DHS S&T) as their subject matter expert (SME) for Maritime Domain Awareness and Commercial Earth Observation Space Systems, Guy is the former US Science & Technology Advisor for Maritime Domain Awareness (2003-2012) and creator of both space-based AIS & C-SIGMA, (Collaboration in Space for International Global Maritime Awareness). He also serves as the technical/academic advisor to the Multinational Maritime Security Center of Excellence. Guy has been involved in surveillance operations and systems in the Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, industry, Johns Hopkins’ Applied Physics Lab (JHU/APL) as well as the Department of Homeland Security and its operational elements. A retired naval officer, he served in hostile areas in 3 cruisers, 2 submarines and 6 reconnaissance aircraft, leading the introduction of both the Navy’s EP-3E & then the Air Force's RC-135W Rivet Joint III, the first 2 aircraft with mission-system computers, becoming the first person in history to be authorized to wear both Navy and Air Force wings at the same time. Also one of the first designated Navy Space Operations sub-specialists, he was the first person in the history of the Navy to be quadruple qualified. A civilian at JHU/APL for nine years, he was its liaison to the Naval War College 2000-2003, leading their effort directed by President Bush on 9/11 (literally) to create what became the National Strategy for Maritime Security and the creation of Maritime Domain Awareness within the US. A Distinguished Graduate of the NWC, he also earned a dual MBA/MS (high honors) in Management and Computer Information Systems from Bryant University. He studied Systems Engineering at JHU. He was awarded the Distinguished Career Service Award in 2012, and the US Geospacial Intelligence Foundation’s Individual Achievement Award in 2015.


Mr. Kejun Li is the President of China Association of Communication Enterprise Management; he is also the former President of China Classification Society and the Chair of International Association of Communication Enterprise Management. From 1978 to 1994, he worked for The Vessel Inspection Bureau of China. He acted as the Principal Surveyor, Deputy Director, Director and Deputy Director General. He was the Vice President of CCS from 1988 to 1994. Since 1993, he studied economics in the Graduate School of Party Central School for four years and got his master’s degree. He served as the Executive Director and the Deputy Director of China Merchants Group. On 1998, he went to Harvard University for further education on senior management. From January, 1999 to the end of 2011, he was the President and the Head of China Classification Society, he also served as the chairman.
In the meantime, Mr. Kejun Li is also the Vice Chairman of Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of China, Water Fire Protection Association and Cross-strait Shipping Exchange Association. He acts as the Executive Director of Chinese Association for the Advancement of International Quality Certification and Consultation, the Vice President of CANSI, the Vice Chairman of CCAA. He was the Director of China Classification Society Quality Certification Company. He is also the Guest Researcher of Peking University Law School, the Professor of Dalian Maritime University and the Adjunct Professor of Wuhan University of Technology.
