Dr. Andreas Nordseth began the work as Director General in the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) in January 2009. Andreas Nordseth is a 1982 graduate of the Copenhagen Nautical College. After awarding his Shipmaster's Diploma, Andreas Nordseth went to sea. Subsequently, Andreas Nordseth studied at Danish Technical University. After having graduated, Andreas Nordseth continued teaching at Copenhagen Nautical College as a Maritime Lecturer, before joining the Danish Maritime authority in 1991 as a consultant on maritime education and training. In 1997 he became chief examiner for masters and mates and two years later, in 1999, he became head of division for maritime education and training. He continued his work with the maritime educations, when he took up the position as Deputy Director General in 2003. His areas of responsibility-besides the maritime educations-included operational issues related to safety of navigation and the like as well as internal functions such as HR and internal service. He is Chairman of Consultative Shipping Group; a position he has held since 2009. Andreas Nordseth is Governor at the World Maritime University and board member of the Maritime Development Centre of Europe (MDCE), the Danish Maritime Fund, the European Maritime Safety Agency, and the Association for Promoting of Danish Shipping and the Advisory Board for Executive MBA in Shipping & Logistics at Copenhagen Business School.

Kurt Kaltenagger is the Group Vice President and Head of Technology at ABB Technology Ventures. ATV is focused on bringing together new technologies, new markets and new talent to discover tomorrow's energy and automation solutions and to accelerate the growth of ABB's global power and automation businesses, by investing in early stage companies which have technologies or business models of strategic interest to ABB. Kurt joined ABB in 1991 as an R&D Manager for HV Technology, then was Head of the Power Lab at ABB Switzerland, and he was the Global Technology Manager for the ABB MV Technology Development, where he founded and led over 12 ABB Technology Centers worldwide. Kurt spent 3 years in China as Head of the ABB Research Center and was CTO of ABB China, and then joined ABB Technology Ventures in 2010 where he has been involved in 17 equity investment deals so far. Kurt holds more than 30 patents and is a frequently invited speaker at global conferences. He is a regular member of the CIGRE Study Committee for Distributed Generation, he was a Pehla executive member over 4 years and was on the advisory board of Souzhou University
Michael Bergmann is Director of Maritime Industry-Affairs & Services at Jeppesen and President of CIRM. He began his career with Jeppesen in January 1990 as a Software Engineer and in 2004 he was asked to build up the Jeppesen Marine Business Unit, starting as Director Marine Data Services and progressing to Director Maritime Industry, Affairs and Services on working with governments, governmental organizations and industry to change the market in support of advanced navigation and efficiency. In this role he is also responsible to negotiate and maintain all data usage agreements for the Jeppesen Marine business unit. He is an observer at IMO (International Maritime Organization) and a member of the IMO e-Navigation sub-committee and correspondence group. He is appointed to the advisory group for the German IMO delegation and also actively participates in IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities), especially on e-Navigation as an Industry Member. In 2010 Mr. Bergmann was appointed to the Board of Directors at CIRM and in April 2013 was elected President of CIRM.
Dr. Alain Bernard is currently Vice-president, Biopharmaceutical Process Sciences at UCB, overseeing manufacturing process developments for new chemical and new biological entities. He joined UCB in November 2006, from Serono where he was Director of Process Development. He had joined Serono in 1998 and was formerly responsible for the biotechnology department in the R&D function. Prior to that move, he was working at the Glaxo-Wellcome Institute of Molecular Biology in Geneva. Dr Bernard is serving on the Executive Committee of ESACT (European Societey of Animal Cell technology). He holds a PhD in biochemical engineering and worked both in the US and Europe on process/product development and reactor design for a variety of biotechnological processes. He has authored or co-authored many publications, international conference presentations and patents in the field of biotechnology.
