With 9th Chinese Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition (CREC) held simultaneously, Smart Energy-2017, is entering into its 7th years, which will be held at Wuxi, China during November 2-4, 2017. By setting up a series of Exhibitions, Posters, Scientific Program also involves in advanced Smart Energy Technology, frontiers of Energy Storage Technology and New Energy. We believe it sets off a new upsurge of Cleanness and Sustainability Energy again. The Organizing Committee of Smart Energy-2017 devotes itself to provide a platform for participants to strengthen technical and business ties in smart energy industry, to bring together experts and leading companies to share new products with business experiences, and to jointly explore opportunities in emerging smart energy technologies.

Dr. Dennis Bracy
Dennis Bracy counts himself fortunate to hold several fascinating jobs simultaneously: spearheading the team organizing the US-China Clean Energy Forum, heading Avatar Studios and helping lead the US-China Clean Energy Research Center, which was established by Presidents Hu Jintao and Barack Obama in November 2009.
Combining a long-time commitment to strengthening US-China relations and a passion for finding solutions to global energy and environmental issues, Bracy has led the US team for the US-China Clean Energy Forum (www.cleanenergyforum.org) since the inception of the organization in 2007.
Over the past 20 years, he has served as a key advisor to Senators, Governors and Members of Congress and is considered a leading strategist on political and public affairs issues.
As Chairman of Avatar Studios (www.avatar-studios.com), he heads a company that produces television programs, videos and websites for clients around the world. In the early 1990s, Bracy led the team that developed the first prime-time television co-produced by foreigners in China and he continues to produce several documentaries and videos in China every year.
His previous professional positions include president of Hill & Knowlton Technology, vice president of Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation, and press secretary for the Watergate trials.


Dr. Hossam Gabbar
Dr. Gabbar is a full Professor in the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science, and cross appointed in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, where he has established both the Energy Safety and Control Lab (ESCL) and Advanced Plasma Engineering Lab. He is also leading national and international research in the areas of nuclear safety and control, advanced plasma systems and their applications on nuclear fusion, as well as on control and protection of smart grids and micro energy grids. He is leading research in Canada with international recognition in energy safety and control for nuclear and energy production facilities.
Dr. Gabbar has been active in leading national and international scientific and community events and activities, including: Nuclear Safety Standards within CSA – Canadian Standard Association, IEEE Annual Conference on Smart Energy Grid Engineering (SEGE), IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) Symposium on Real Time Measurement, Instrumentation, and Control (RTMIC), IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Symposium on Plasma and Nuclear Systems (SPANS), and other international events. He is General Chair and Founder of IEEE International Conference on Smart Energy, General Chair and Founder of the Symposium on Plasma And Nuclear Systems (SPANS), Chair of NPSS Chapter, IEEE Toronto Section Editor-in-chief, Founder of RAMSP Society, and Current VP Safety (www.ramss.org), Chair of TC on IGPS, IEEE SMCS, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Process Systems Engineering (IJPSE), and member of IEEE Smart Grid Committees.


Dr. Maher Chebbo
Dr. Maher Chebbo is Co-founder of the European Commission SmartGrids initiative in 2005, President of ESMIG Association (European Smart Energy Services Industry Group - Brussels), Chairman of DigitalEurope Smart Enery group and member of EU Executive Committee Energy, Member of the Board of REEEP (Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership – Vienna), Member of the Executive Board of ARMINES (Ecole des Mines de Paris – Energy 50 Research Labs). He ranked 5th among the Top 40 most influential people in SmartGrids in Europe (Metering Int. magazine) “influencer” status on Social Networks (Linkedin) with 80 000+ follower, Nominated as Top 8 Elites in European Smart Energy.
Maher joined SAP 19 years ago (1996) where he co-founded its Corporate In-Venturing Unit (SAP INSPIRE) in 2003 and where he held various responsibilities as a Regional EMEA Industries Head (Energy and various Industries like Telecom, Services, Engineering & Construction and Transportation) and Director of Innovation.
Maher co-founded a German Renewable startup and, before joining SAP, led at Cap Gemini the Power & Communication industries for 6 years.


Dr. Sergio C. Trindade
Dr. Sergio C. Trindade, has had a long career in business, academia and international public service. He contributed to the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – IPCC, which was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. He was the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology for Development. He was the technology executive director at Promon (Brazil) and the executive director of Arthur D. Little management consultants (USA/Brazil). His work has covered various facets of energy, including biofuels (planning, efficiency, demand management, substitution, intermediation and implementation), sustainable development and technology as business opportunities. At SE2T International, Ltd., a consultancy Trindade established in New York, in 1991, he has been playing an important leadership role in energy, environment and climate change matters.


Mr. Denis Depoux
Asia Deputy President, Head of Global Energy & Utilities Competence Center, Greater China Deputy Chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Roland Berger Denis Depoux began his career in China 23 years ago with French energy giant EDF before entering the management consulting industry. Over the last 17 years, he has shared his expertise as a consultant in the US, France, other European countries and Asia. In 2001, Depoux joined Roland Berger, where he focuses on the energy and environmental sectors.
Based in Shanghai, Depoux steers Roland Berger Asia along with the global CEO. For Roland Berger Greater China, he oversees a wide variety of Competence Centers, including Energy & Chemicals, Public Services & Real Estate, Transportation, Logistics & Tourism, Engineered Products and High Tech, Operations and HR Leadership & Transformation.
In the energy and utilities sector, Depoux has supported the transformation of major European players throughout the energy market's transition toward liberalization and increased competition. He has made extensive contributions in the areas of new products and services, the development of wholesale-market trading, risk management, the development of energy services, etc. He has also consulted on several major mergers of European energy players and supported the expansion of electricity and natural-gas players into Europe, the Americas and Asia. More recently, Depoux has supported European and Asian energy players in addressing challenges raised by the trends toward low-carbon energy, energy efficiency, decentralized energy generation and the Internet of energy.
Beyond the energy sector, Depoux has extensive experience in performance and operations improvement, operational and G&A cost reduction, purchasing process transformation, screening, commercial and strategic due diligence for acquisition targets, post-merger integration and organization and governance.

Scenery of Wuxi

Wuxi is an old city in southern Jiangsu province, China. The city borders two other large cities, Changzhou to the west and Suzhou to the east, and borders Zhejiang Province as well in the south. It also covers a coastline of the Yangtze River in the north and two separate coasts of Lake Tai.
